Dear Friends,

As you may know, I have announced my candidacy for the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington’s 1st Congressional District. I am running for Congress because I believe that the American people deserve better public policies, and now is the time to restore greatness to our great nation. We are hard working, law abiding, peace-loving people. We are committed to democracy, human rights, and equality. Our foundations are strong because our values are strong.

Today, we have moved away from our founding principles. America is not what it was. The American dream is fading fast as we have forgotten to reflect our values in our policies. As a result we find ourselves economically weak and internationally challenged. This is not the America our founding fathers envisioned. It is time for us to bring America back to its founding principles - life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness for all.

Being a naturalized citizen and a successful entrepreneur, I understand the challenges of running a successful business while creating jobs and provide a decent wage, safe work place, and healthcare for my employees. Today, we face monumental challenges with our economy, the state of our education and health care systems, as well as with the environment. It is time to end the partisan bickering and gridlock in Washington DC, and get Congress back to doing the work of the American people.

As a husband and the father of two boys, I understand the expectations of American families.  I will work toward adopting public policies which will ensure a better America now, and in the future. I believe in the American Dream, and with your help, we can ensure that future generations have the same opportunities we've enjoyed. I hope you can help in this campaign. Together we can make a difference and bring the change we know is needed to keep America great. Together we can win!
